Brick Haus is my first pick near Sindang Station when I need to sit down with a laptop. I have visited several times before, and on July 12, 2026, I came again with my wife and child on an extremely hot day. We wanted cold coffee and a table where we could book a resort for our summer holiday.
We ordered an iced Americano and an iced latte. The total was around 10,000 won from memory—I forgot to take a menu photo this time—but the price felt reasonable. The important thing here is not silence. The music is fairly loud, most people upstairs are using laptops or tablets, and more than half of the customers seemed to be alone. For laptop work, this is an easy recommendation.
Inside Brick Haus
The building is easy to notice from the street: old red brick, large black-framed windows and the words BRICK HAUS across the corner.
The first floor has the counter and only a small number of seats. If you are coming to stay for a while, the second floor is the real reason to choose it. The internal staircase leads to a much larger room with a mix of tables, chairs and wall seating.
Upstairs, almost every direction had a laptop or an iPad in view. More than half of the customers appeared to be visiting alone. It is not a formal study cafe, but opening a laptop and staying for a while feels completely normal.
Brick Haus has its own Wi-Fi. Power outlets are placed at a few points along the walls, but there are not enough for every table. If you need to charge your laptop, check the wall seats before settling in.

Why the louder music is a real advantage
Brick Haus is not a quiet cafe. The music was turned up enough that I would not recommend it to someone looking for library silence. For me, that is one of its biggest advantages.
When I come with my child, I do not have to worry about every small sound. There is already music and a steady layer of cafe noise, so our child can speak normally without our table suddenly feeling like the loud one. This is not a kids’ cafe, but it is easier with a child than a very quiet cafe.
The small person heading downstairs in the photo is ours. This visit felt like a normal family coffee break, not a situation where I had to keep asking my child to whisper.
Coffee, price and atmosphere
The iced Americano and iced latte cost around 10,000 won in total, as far as I remember. I forgot the menu photo, so I would not treat that as an exact current price. Still, it felt reasonable for the location and the amount of space upstairs.
I have also visited at night, and I may like Brick Haus even more then. The room is not too bright, and the slightly darker lighting works well with the brick walls and black ceiling. In the daytime it is practical. At night it feels a little more settled without becoming formal.
The practical caveat
Come here for laptop work, casual conversation or a coffee break with a child. Skip it if your priority is a silent room or very soft background music. The second floor is the best part of the cafe, so the internal stairs are also worth knowing about.
The dedicated Wi-Fi is useful, but the power outlets are not available at every table. For a long work session, choose a wall seat with an outlet before your battery gets low.

Brick Haus is at 456 Toegye-ro, close to Sindang Station. The red-brick corner building and large BRICK HAUS letters are the easiest visual cues from the street.

Would I go again?
Yes. I already have, and I expect to keep coming back. Brick Haus works because it is close to Sindang Station, has plenty of second-floor seating, makes opening a laptop feel normal, and has enough background sound that coming with our child does not feel awkward.
The outlet situation could be better. Even with that caveat, this is still my number one for computer work near Sindang Station.
